The Girls on the Run celebration 5k is happening in June, this 5K is so much more than just a race. It is a way to celebrate the girls, coaches and volunteers that have got involved and supported making this spring season so special. On Saturday, June 6th at Palisades, Tahoe our girls will be crossing the finish line, marking the end of their spring season. It's a great opportunity for them to showcase all the hardwork they’ve put in over the past 8 weeks!

How volunteers make this experience special  Your presence is crucial to making this experience out of this world for the girls. Volunteers help motivate the girls, maintain the water stations and make sure everyone is safe. You can choose to help the girls out before the race with face painting, bib decorating or bracelet making or you can help out on the course during the event. If you dont have a prefernce we can also put you wherever help is needed!

Not only are you making an impact on the lives of the girls and our community but volunteering is also a way to get yourself moving and have some fun. So if you have some time and want to get involved we would appreciate and love the help and support.  Many volunteers also say that they leave this experience feeling inspired and wanting to do more. We are confident you will walk away from this experience feeling fulfilled and determined.
