Fall Season Starts in September

This September-November, 3rd-5th grade participants will embark on a 10-week journey to discover and activate their STAR POWER, or the confidence to shine in their own unique way. Coaches will lead teams through exciting lessons that skillfully combine movement-based games and physical activity with meaningful discussions and thought-provoking conversations. Designed to build resilience, strength and sense of self, our Hello, Superstar! curriculum offers participants an entire toolbox full of skills to help them manage their emotions, communicate their feelings, and face life's challenges. By the final Celebration 5K, girls will have experienced what it feels like to not only believe in themselves, but to encourage and uplift those around them. The impact lasts well beyond the finish line: girls will carry what they've learned into their classrooms, homes, neighborhoods and communities now AND throughout their bright futures ahead.

We start the week of September 8th (Labor Day) and will end with the 5K on November 15th at the University of Nevada. REGISTER YOUR SUPERSTAR today!

We couldn't do what we do without our stellar volunteers. Coaches are the backbone of our program and bring the energy, excitement and FUN to Girls on the Run! If you think that only "runners", teachers or parents can do the job, you may be surprised to learn that you don't have to be any one of those to be a GOTR coach! Our only requirements are the ability to attend one 90-minute practice per week, the willingness to complete training + undergo a background check, and the desire to make a difference. We equip you and your co-coaches with all the resources and support you need to help girls to become more joyful, healthy confident versions of themselves. We have over 25 teams participating in the Reno-Sparks area this fall - check out our LOCATIONS to see which one(s) might fit your schedule!
