Alisha is a student at UNR pursuing a degree in Public Health. In the future, she hopes to improve the overall health of the population through enhancing quality of life by preventing people from developing diseases is my ultimate goal. She enjoys learning about the intersectionality of public policy, education and health. She is an enthusiast of anything outdoor-related, and loves to hike, backpack, paddleboard, and much more! She chose Girls on the Run (GOTR) because our curriculum is working to help with some public health issues in today’s youth. GOTR is assisting girls in working through essential life skills that will help the girls go into life with courage and confidence and learn to cope with some of the things life throws at them. GOTR also encourages girls to get up and move! Which can be difficult with all the temptations that electronics have to offer in today's age. She is excited to work with all the GOTR girls and help them get moving both mentally and physically.
