Panty Drop, the newly launched premium subscription underwear box that helps women of all shapes and sizes make over their panty drawer, announced today that it has partnered with Girls on the Run-Sierras, the Nevada division of the international nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams, as part of the company’s Giving Program. Last year, Panty Drop joined Pledge 1% to create the program, and to date, Panty Drop is the only subscription lingerie business to make a commitment to giving back.
Through their partnership with Girls on the Run-Sierras, and the Pledge 1% program, Panty Drop stays dedicated to closing the gender leadership gap. The Pledge 1% program, which encourages companies to pledge 1% of revenue, 1% of employee time, and 1% of product to promote mindfulness in -and out-of the workplace. Panty Drop’s core beliefs align with Girls on the Run-Sierras through their work inspiring limitless potential, while staying true to who you really are.
“When I started Panty Drop, I knew I wanted to create a business that was about more than just great underwear, I wanted to help women get back in touch with their sexy side while also making a difference,” said Julie Arsenault, Founder and CEO. “I’m thrilled to announce that Girls on the Run-Sierras will receive 1% of all Panty Drop employee time and revenue. I am extremely passionate about the organization as their mission closely aligns with ours - to inspire and empower girls to define and become leaders.”
While women make up just over 50% of the population, they are severely underrepresented at the top of the corporate and public service ladders. That gender leadership gap is what Panty Drop aims to fix through its Giving Program.
“We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with a company dedicated to empowering women to be their best selves,” said Julie Mathews, Development Director for Girls on the Run-Sierras. “By encouraging every girl and woman to embrace who she is, together we hope to change they way women think about what is possible.”
Panty Drop will also be part of Girls on the Run-Sierra’s National Girls & Women in Sports Day on February 25th at The University of Nevada where they have joined forces with Wolf Pack Athletics to celebrate the power and potential of girls and women in sports. The event is aimed at empowering women and girls to get moving, embrace physical activity, and find their limitless potential.
